FAQ
Q:
What materials are the Michigan Shaped Adirondack chairs, leg rests and tables made out of?
A:
The lumber is high quality Western Red Cedar. The hardware is a combination of both Rustoleum certified High Performance Exterior Screws and galvanized: carriage bolts, washers, and hex nuts. All these products are highly resistant to rust which makes them perfect for Michigan weather.
Q:
Where and how are the chairs and tables made?
A:
Our products are hand built in Middleville, Michigan by a family of wood-working loving nuts. 🙂
Q:
What is the best way to take care of my cedar products?
A:
If left untreated, your chair will naturally mature, developing mild cracks and turning to a seasoned silver. You may treat your chair with a clear coat or stain such as Olympic Elite Mountain Cedar Semi-transparent Exterior Stain found at Lowe’s (colors other than cedar are also fine.) The chair can be left outdoors as cedar is resilient to all types of weather and insects, but should be stored in a covered area during the winter months when not being used. If the chair becomes creaky or loosens up over time, tighten carriage bolts until snug.
Q:
How do my chairs, leg rests and tables arrive in the mail?
A:
We ship via FedEx. The leg rests are fully assembled. The chairs and tables are partially assembled in the box and take about 15 minutes per product to put together. You don’t need to be a pro to do this.
Assembly is very easy!
Q:
Can I pick up instead of having my purchase shipped?
A:
Yes. You can pick up the chairs from us in the Middleville and Grand Rapids, MI areas. You will need to call Mike ahead of time to place the order so we can make arrangements to meet.
